Kids in the Hall

What is a Kids in the Hall field trip?
Classroom lessons come to life with the Preservation Hall Foundation’s Kids in the Hall Field Trip program. In this one-hour field trip, centered around the history of New Orleans music, students engage and listen to a Preservation Hall band perform, and have the opportunity for a Q&A session with members of the Preservation Hall collective. We are proud to offer these field trips to New Orleans-area public schools, free of charge.
Requirements
The Preservation Hall Foundation requires a minimum of 15 students to book a field trip, with a maximum of 60 students per concert. Field trips must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance.
Cost
Kids in the Hall is free for public schools in Orleans, Jefferson, and St. Bernard Parishes. Please indicate your local school when submitting your request in the form below. For all other schools and groups, please request dates and pricing in the form. Please note that field trips are generally not available during Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest.
